“A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” – Lao Tzu

When I was a kid, I listened to my mother share stories of her travels to unfamiliar and strange places and I knew that my journey would only begin once I traveled. I am fortunate to come from a cross cultural background: my mother Singaporean, my dad Egyptian and they met and feel deeply in love in Saudi Arabia.

My grandfather Ali from my mothers side traveled from his little town Hadhramaut, Yemen one of the oldest cities in the world which has been inhabited since the Stone Age to a far away tiny little island off the straights of Melecca, Singapore. He was a trader, trade was in his blood and for that he needed to go on his journey to explore life and opportunity. Travel was in his blood.

My grandfather Ibrahim from my dads side traveled from a rural village into the city to make himself known as a lawyer. My grandmother family were all in the foreign services and my grandmother always talked during her time, travel was done by land and if you wanted to cross continents, she used boats not planes. Time was of no importance it was the journey and the adventure.

I have learnt from my family the importance of curiosity. I choose to make the world my playground and here is a glimpse of the places I have gone on my adventure. To read my adventures you can visit my blog or contact me! Enjoy your adventure!
