A year had passed since my experience with WOW and I missed my WOW family members.
As I was in Switzerland, I wanted to visit with Michael, one of my WOW family members. It is always strange to see somebody outside the normal habitat you’re use to seeing them. As with Michael, seeing him in a foreign environment sans the gym floors and school hallways where first met. He created me a delicious, scrumptious dinner of goulash and topped it off with lots of wonderful Swiss chocolates.
I flew to Amsterdam afterwards and met with Viviane, another WOW family member after she got off work. She was such a wonderful host! She spoke of her experiences overseas as a WOW member, how for both her and Ingmar, that time opened their eyes to the generosity of people. My traveling time was during the week, and Viviane and Ingmar both were working, so our time was wonderful but short.
Next I took a train over to Belgium to meet with Nehal. My lovely Aunti Rehan offered to drive to Lili to pick her up so that we could meet while I was there. Belgium was amazing! Not only did I get to see my favorite Aunt, but I also got to see two cousins, Farah, who I hadn’t seen in 5 years, and Zuzu who I hadn’t seen in 10 years. While in Belgium, I savored the yummy taste of Belgium waffles too!
I reunited with my Mapacha boys and two guys I had met in Kenya. We stayed the night with Andries and met his father. He was sch a gracious, entertaining host, he should consider setting up an tourist attraction! He has a wonderful hobby of learning other languages and we were all fascinated at his ability to speak over 20 languages! Seven of those languages he speak with ease, one of which is Arabic. It was amazing!
Got to reunite with my boys. We stayed with Andries place for a night and his father needs to be a tourist attraction. His hobby is to learn languages and speaks over 20, 7 really well and the rest to be brushed up. He fascinated us, by speaking in flawless Arabic. Another highlight of our visit there was seeing a Manakin piss!
After a wonderful, educating and entertaining night with Andries, Nehal and I hopped a train to Holland and there we spend the weekend with Vivianne and Ingmar. The downtime for the rest of the weekend was appreciated. After all, I had just traveled through three countries in one day! It was tiring and yet exhilarating.
