When I was 13, I watched a documentary about Venice and how every year the water levels were rising. And after watching the merchants of venice, it became something that went on my bucket list. As much as the city was beautiful, I found it extremely touristic. There was a kazamillion souvenirs shops and the never ending flock of tourists.
Highlights of the trip will definitely be the overprice gondola ride, and sneaking away from the crowds and exploring several small art museums.
