“The cuckoos remain silent for a long time (for several seasons) until they are able to sing sweetly (in the Spring ) so as to give joy to all.”- Chanakya (Indian Politician, strategist and Writer, 350 BC-275 BC)
Although I don’t come from a country where I see the leaves autumn shades turn color, and left to tumble to the ground, or from the branches of barren trees life begins. Seasons help us identify milestones of what we have achieved from one year to the next, it helps us set in stone memories and lightly reminds us that with each year our experiences make us a little wiser.
Although Cairo has limited seasons, the change of weather helps identify the timing of the year but in a flat climate like Singapore, the days are constantly torn between sun and rain. Its hard to tell the differences or for me, to realize that I have spent the last 2.5 years here.
Singapore’s charm of tropical paradise does have its seasons, although unorthodox to most part of the world we have:
– French Film Festival
– F1
– Bayfest
– Dans Festival
– Stan Chart Marathon
